**Winterfest 2027**
Saturday, Feb. 6, 2027
- Doors open at 9:00 am
- Events begin at 10:00 am
- Judges breakfast begins at 8:00 am
- Judges meeting at 8:45 am

IMPORTANT DEADLINES
Regular registration fee of $15 per student will end on Wed., Jan. 20, 2027, 11:59 p.m. Online registration. This means teachers must have completed the only registration form by this time to be eligible for the regular pricing.
Late registration fee of $20 per student is due by Wed., Jan. 27, 2027, 11:59 p.m.
Registrations received after 11:59 pm on Wed., Jan. 27, 2026, will be considered late and incur the late registration cost ($25). Additionally, access to group events may be limited if needed due to judging availability. Checks may be mailed to the listed address or hand-delivered to the Winterfest Executive Director (or her official designee) on the day of contest.
VIRTUAL EVENT DEADLINES
Sat., Jan. 30, 2027, 9:00 a.m. Digital Event submissions due for all online events. NO LATE entries will be accepted past 10 am. Anything submitted between 9 and 10 a.m. on that Saturday will receive an automatic 10-point deduction.
Tue., Feb. 2, 2027, 11:59 p.m.: Remote judging of the seven virtual Winterfest events ends.
Wed., Feb. 3, 2027, 10:00 p.m.: Final Winterfest changes (adds, drops, substitutions) and updated Alpha Lists are due. After this point, no more changes will be allowed.
State Events
**Texas State German Contest 2027**
Sat., Feb. 26, 2027:
Texas State University, San Marcos
Fri., Feb. 12, 207, 11:59 p.m.: State online registration due for “early bird” price of $15/student (payment does not have to be mailed until 2/20).
Wed., Feb. 17, 2027, 11:59 p.m.: State online registration due for regular price of $20/student (payment does not have to be mailed until 2/20).
Sat., Feb. 20, 2027, 9:00 a.m.: Submission of entries in the 7 virtual State events due (get the link to a Google Form from your teacher). Also, Mary El-Beheri Memorial Scholarship and Sandra Dieckman GTHS Memorial Scholarship applications due (to submit the application, get the link to a Google Form from your teacher). Deadline to postmark your State payment.
Mon., Feb. 22, 2027, 8:00 p.m.: Entries in State promotional video contest due to State director.
Tue., Feb. 23, 2027, 11:59 p.m.: Remote judging of the 7 virtual State events ends.
